SUS303 is an austenitic stainless steel. Austenitic stainless steel is corrosion-resistant and can be welded using TIG and plasma welding. In addition, there is almost no loss in strength even in high-temperature environments.
Unique to SUS303, it has the same machinability as irons such as SS400 and S45C. For example, the chips of SUS304, which is widely distributed on the market, are in the shape of a band when cutting and are easily tangled with the blade. SUS303 contains large amounts of phosphorus (P) and sulfur (S), so the chips discharged during cutting become finer. The finer the chips, the better they come out of the blade, the easier they are to clean, and the less risk there is of the material being processed being scratched or injured.
SUS303 is an easy-to-cut, stainless and wear-resistant steel. It has good cutting performance and is easier to process. Its other properties are similar to 304.
